Between moving the studio and working on a large project my blog has definitely been a little neglected lately……  Sneak peeks have been making their way to Facebook because it is an easier process but I don’t want to leave my blog followers hanging so here is a recent maternity session sneak peek for ya

I met this momma to be years ago when her brother married my cousin and we were both in the bridal party.  Now 16+ years later I have the privilege of capturing this amazing time for her and her husband.  I cannot wait to meet their little one in just a few more weeks!

Sniff sniff is how I feel about this picture….. maybe this wretched cold I have could be part of it but mostly its because he’s another 1 year baby planner that has turned 1!

Mr. C always makes the cutest faces for me and this session he was no disappointment with his big boy smiles!  To see him go from this little sweet thing to this big guy now makes me sniff sniff in happiness

I truly believe that the journey of your life should be captured to preserve all the rest stops along the way.   Times are a bit more challenging now however for many.  Providing the best value while not compromising on quality is what I want to do.  As such, I have decided to completely change the way I think about pricing.  Now you can have your custom portrait session and receive fine art quality prints and products for one price.

Effective March 1st Life Is A Highway Photography will now be offering three complete packages to choose from.  Gone are the days of session fees + a la carte pricing!  With portrait packages starting at $350, each package will include your session and a variety of prints, specialty products and/or even a slideshow of your images set to music on CD.  And since so many of you want digital files you will now have the option to add on a CD of all of the full resolution digital negatives from your gallery at an attractive price point as well.

Pure innocence is what comes immediately to mind when I see this image.  Little T was such an angel for his newborn session which was no surprise to me as his sister was just the same when it was her turn.

So excited as he is another little one that I’ll get to see grow up this year because he too is a Horizon baby planner.  So get ready for some cuteness overload because I am sure he’ll be just as adorable as his big sister!

Now because December and the beginning of January was crazy for me as I wrapped up the year and enjoyed some family time I have a bunch of sessions to blog about over the next few weeks so don’t expect it to be as quiet as it was again anytime soon!

This little firecracker was such fun to work with!  As we explored this gorgeous gem perfect for portraits in Chester, NJ, she was full of sweetness and spunk and sass and silliness.  She had just gotten done saying something really funny and I peered around the camera and said “Oh my, what did you say?”  When she put her hand up, tilted her head over and said “who me?” in the most innocent of voices.

Yes you Miss. P!  You are such a beautiful child both inside and out and I was one lucky lady to get to capture you that’s for sure.

Next week is Thanksgiving and I am so very grateful for my life.  I have two healthy and handsome boys, a warm home to come back to at night, wonderful clients, a great family support system and friends that I am beyond thankful for.  I have so much more happiness around me this year than ever before and would like to pay that forward a little.

I would like to give a different kind of newborn session away to a deserving mom and dad to be, expecting before the end of March.  The newborn portrait session will take place in my Chester NJ studio location.  You can enter for yourself or submit a nomination for someone you think would love to receive it.  Discretion in handling this is very important to me and as such the winner will be selected by me on Thanksgiving and notified privately.

All you have to do to enter is send me (exit@lifeisahighwayphotography.com) a brief story in 1-2 paragraphs of why your nomination should win the newborn session along with your contact information and that of the nominee if different (full name, address, phone number and email address).
